About Me and My Work
My name is Meghan Peak, and I am a full time college student at Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY. I'm an Information Technology major, and have taken courses in Web Programming, Multimedia (Flash) and Database Administration. Despite all that, my hobbies and personal work surround web design and development.
Within the category of web design and development, there have been many different topics I've researched and developed on. The big one being search engine optimized, standards compliant, xhtml powered and designed by a style sheet. It has been my finding that with proper coding techniques, search engines such as Google tend to rank you higher above sites that aren't developed properly. I have also done work with content management via PHP, relational database development, and design.
